Iguazu Falls- Brazilian side

We let ourselves sleep in until 8:00am because we were so exhausted from a few days without sleep. We packed our bags and had breakfast at the hostel, chatting with some of the other travelers who had not yet seen the falls and giving them recommendations. We decided that today we would take a local bus to the falls since we wouldn't need to cross a border and the park on the Brazilian side is much less extensive. We first had to go to the bus terminal to purchase our tickets for the overnight bus to Sao Paolo which we would be taking that evening. Once we had our tickets, we waited to take the local bus to the central terminal where we could then catch a bus to the park. It's always a little hit and miss with local buses since there's no schedule and no real way to tell which bus you need, but after some trial and error, we were on the right bus to the central station. Taking the local buses, it would only cost us $3BRL which is much cheaper than if we had done a tour. We changed buses at the station and were on our way to the park. Once we arrived, we tried to buy our tickets but of course the computer system for the whole park had crashed so we had to wait to buy them. In the meantime, we grabbed a shot of espresso which I have become very accustomed to drinking. Finally, they were operational again so we purchased our ticket for $48BRL and boarded the two story tour bus.
There is really only one attraction on the Brazilian side, which is a short walk of different viewpoints of the falls. We took our time on the walk, making sure to take lots of pictures and really take in the view.

It's impossible to describe the immense amount of water or the force of it crashing next to you. I loved being sprayed by the mist, especially given the stifling heat. We stayed for a few hours, watching the water and trying desperately to find someone who wasn't completely retarded that could take a picture of us with the waterfalls- it's harder than you would think sadly enough. We grabbed lunch at the falls which was easy since its organized like a theme park and took the three successive buses back to the hostel. We had a few hours before our bus was set to leave at 7:15pm, so we were able to shower and do some research on our next destinations before heading to the bus terminal. The hostel owner was nice enough to drive us to the bus station which saved us from having to pay for a cab. The bus were taking called "Kiowa" was recommended to us as the nicest bus company but as a bus conoseur, I thought this bus was one of the worst ones we've taken. It was absolutely filthy and at one point cockroaches were running around on Alyssa's side of the bus so I switched seats with her because she was freaking out and I was beyond the point of caring. It's times like that when you go into survival mode and realize that you have to put up with certain things to get from point A to B. It was a 14 hour ride so I put in my earphones and retreated into my mind for the duration.
